Scaffolding in itself is a pretty basic thing, in spite of the fact that it is highly beneficial to many industries. Because the function of scaffolding is so basic, there have not been a lot of changes in structure and design over the years. However, a more recent evolution in scaffolding design really has contractors talking because it is so advantageous. Fiberglass scaffolding offers lightweight portability.

Having metal scaffolding means you will have to be careful to clean off the scaffolding at the end of every work day or otherwise face problems with rust and corrosion because of the fact that metal cannot stand up against chemical compounds or even moisture exposure. With fiberglass scaffolding, this is not a concern at all because fiberglass is resilient to corrosion and will not rust like metal. While it is definitely best to clean your scaffolding daily, not doing so will not leave your setup at risk of corrosion if  you do forget.
